Pilot Hotel is behind Istanbul Airport, some 7 km away. It is located 56 km from the Old Town area of Sultanahmet. It organizes airport shuttles to and from the airport at a high extra cost. You cannot reach the property using public transport from the airport but taxis will happily take you there.
The location is nice enough, on a high hill with a great view of the airport. The hotel is small and compact, which is its charm. It is family-operated, so you will get a unique treatment. The staff speaks good English.
Each room comes with a desk, a flat-screen TV, and a wardrobe. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. The rooms are big, clean, and soundproof but not all have a window.

We have shuttle services and you decide when you want to be picked up from the airport and also when you want to leave the hotel to the airport. Price is 50 Euros per person and includes two ways.
We need to eat in the evening, are there any good restaurants nearby?
To visit restaurants it's five minutes by car or ten minutes walking. We can also assist you and call a courier to bring the food to the hotel. You just say what kind of meal you want and our courier brings the food to you.

The staff was helpful and arranged for a cab to the airport when I was leaving for my flight home. Room was clean and comfortable and I liked that there was coffee in the room. It was also nice for the price I paid.
