Three star hotel with a free shuttle service, spacious rooms and a great breakfast.
Ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is just a 10-minute shuttle ride away from Schiphol. The hotel is suitable if you have an early flight or are on a tight schedule and provides a very regular and free shuttle service from 03:45 to 00:40, so the journey to and from the airport is seamless. The hotel is very near Schiphol Noord bus station, where you can take a direct bus to Amsterdam's city center.
All rooms are equipped with the essential amenities you’d expect from an Ibis: comfortable bedding, a work desk, and a small fridge, though the decor is nothing spectacular and some even note it's a bit dated. The bathrooms are on the smaller side and space is limited but they have what's necessary for a short stay, plus complimentary toiletries. Some rooms, especially those facing the busy highway, are not well insulated against noise, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you request a quieter room.
The hotel's restaurant offers a buffet breakfast from 4 AM. The early start is much appreciated especially if you need to leave very early, though the food itself has received mixed reviews. It's not complimentary either.
Other dining options are the lunch and dinner buffets, the burger bar, and the evening restaurant with great views of the city.
The Ibis offers a rather basic fitness center and doesn't have a full spa or a pool.
Business facilities are also very simplistic and fit only for small tasks and meetings.
The Ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport has a few shortcomings if you expect luxury but this is not the hotel's selling point. It provides comfortable rooms with easy access to the airport and basic amenities for a quick stay. In this regard, it's an affordable top choice for an airport hotel.
Check-in is available from 15:00 and check-out is required by 12:00.
