Rosewood Bangkok is a striking addition to the city's skyline. With its 30 stories, it stands out as a visually stunning vertical architectural marvel inspired by the Thai wai greeting. The hotel is located beside the Phloen Chit station of the Sukhumvit Line in an area of Bangkok known for its high-rises and upscale restaurants.
The hotel offers 159 rooms of which 23 are suites and villas with a distinct, unique look and ambiance, some even with their own private pools and terraces. All rooms come with a desk, a private bathroom with free toiletries, and a safety deposit box. The hotel's peculiar shape creates bizarrely shaped windows in most rooms which also means spectacular views of the city.
The on-site Chinese restaurant, Nan Bei, is particularly stunning, although the menu is limited and expensive. You can have afternoon tea on the 7th floor. Breakfast is good but not as varied as you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. Dietary requirements are hardly accounted for but otherwise, the food is fresh and yummy.
The hotel's amenities are top-notch, with facilities like the Sense Spa with its impeccable service and treatments as well as a well-equipped, albeit small, fitness center and a beautiful pool with a lounging area for sunbathing.
