The Grünau Hotel is situated around 6 kilometers from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). The hotel is near a station of the S-bahn train with links to Berlin. This location is one of Berlin's greenest with plenty of opportunities to be among nature.

The hotel rooms are elegantly decorated and come with flat-screen TVs, seating areas, and private bathrooms with toiletries and hair dryers. A major downfall is the lack of proper air conditioning. You cannot open the windows as the lack of mosquito nets can spell trouble for the night (the hotel is near a forest and a lake). You can request a fan from reception but that isn't guaranteed. In summertime, the rooms can get quite hot.

The on-site restaurant, "Dittmanns Drogerie," is uniquely decorated in the style of 1920s Berlin and offers many freshly prepared culinary delights. Other options nearby are scarce and at least a 20-minute walk away. The hotel bar is open until late.

Breakfast is available for an additional cost. Guests say it's generally worth it.

There is a fitness center and a sauna, although nothing too special. However, the bowling alley is a very original addition for an airport hotel.
