Domus Porto Di Traiano Resort is a bed and breakfast located in Fiumicino, Italy, approximately 4 kilometers from Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport. The city center is around 30 kilometers away. Both can be reached by the public bus that stops nearby or a taxi. The hotel organizes a shuttle service but it's quite expensive and frankly, not worth using.
The word "resort" is a bit of a stretch though - it's more akin to a family-run BnB with a couple of 1-story houses that function as a hotel. The rooms are outdated, small, and basic. There is a private bathroom inside and it does the job but also leaves a lot to be desired. The furniture is old and unkempt. The wifi doesn't work inside the rooms as the router is too far.
Perhaps the worst part is that all the noise coming from nearby airplanes is audible inside the rooms as there is practically no isolation and the buildings are small.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided daily and is good enough but nothing spectacular: cereal, croissants, deli meat, coffee, and juices.
There aren't many other facilities offered. The large courtyard is pleasant and allows for a relaxed time outdoors. For dining or a bar, you need to look in the surrounding area.
Many guests report booking issues, unexpected cancellations, and double charging - an important thing to keep in mind.
Overall, the Domus Porto Di Traiano can hardly be called a resort and fails to deliver on many of its promises for a relaxing stay. Even a short stay at this hotel can fall way short of expectations. If anything positive is to be found, it's the convenient location near the airport.

Something that needs to be mentioned about this hotel was the welcoming staff – they really elevated my time here! The food in the restaurant tasted great and the breakfast had quite a lot to choose from. The hotel is pretty close to the airport which was convenient.
