Hilton Rome Airport is found right by the airport and is a great choice when having an early flight out of Rome.
The Hilton Rome Airport is directly connected to Fiumicino Airport via a covered walkway that will quickly get you to the terminals. Rome is 25 km away which a taxi will cover in 30 minutes and the public buses in under an hour. The hotel's private parking can be used at an additional fee.
The hotel rooms all have air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and private bathrooms. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms are top-notch, although some guests have complained of a musty smell in some of the rooms. The AC doesn't always work as expected too.
There are two on-site restaurants: the Artists Bar for a quieter experience with sandwiches, snacks, and desserts, as well as the Le Colonne Restaurant for Italian and international dishes on a marble buffet table. The restaurant offerings may be a bit overpriced for some and of average quality.
The breakfast buffet is available for a fee and is of good quality and variety.
Free-to-use amenities include a fitness center, an indoor pool, and meeting facilities.
The free wifi is very slow and you need to pay for the exclusive one to get reliable internet access in the rooms - something almost unheard of at hotels these days. Even water in the room isn't free.
In summary, the Hilton Rome Airport has essential amenities but charges for all additional services. This coupled with the dated decor and persistent facilities' problems should make you question the value for money it offers.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you have a stayover at Rome Airport, you are literally steps from the airport and the staff were very welcoming. My room was spacious and comfortable and to top it off the restaurant served really nice food.
