Stylish hotel with a prime location in a skyscraper opposite the Liseberg amusement park. Modern, very comfortable rooms and suites, most with stunning views of the city. The hotel has a popular restaurant and nice sky lounge with panoramic views. Close to Avenyn, the Grand Theatre and the Gothenburg Museum of Art.

Gothia Towers and Upper House are not only Gothenburg’s, but also Sweden’s largest hotel. Note that Upper House is actually a standalone luxury hotel within Gothia Towers, complete with its own reception desk. The spa is really good, and the location is perfect for visitors to Svenska Mässan (the Congress Centre), Universeum, and the Liseberg Amusement Park. I’ve stayed here twice — once at Gothia Towers and once at Upper House. For a special treat, book a room with breakfast at the top-floor restaurant.
