The rooms look and feel great. They are all crisp, clean, and very spacious. The bedding is comfortable and the couch is a nice addition. All rooms also include a TV, a coffee maker, and a work desk.
The hotel has closed its indoor pool, so this isn't an option for exercise. The gym however stays open 24/7, even if it's not the absolute best and newest.
The on-site restaurant and bar are convenient, especially given the fact that there isn't much choice for dining in the area. However, the menu is limited and the prices are relatively high.
The breakfast is not always free and is very substandard. It's mostly not worth adding it as it's not a proper continental buffet and even the best item - a sandwich - isn't all that impressive.
All in all, the Courtyard Newark Liberty International Airport is a clean, comfortable, and convenient hotel, though the limited dining options, the lackluster amenities, and the mediocre breakfast are no small factors to consider.

I stayed here when I had a layover in New York, and I would recommend it to anyone doing the same. The restaurant on site was nice and the staff I met were very friendly and attentive. My room was clean and comfortable.
