This family friendly hotel has a perfect location if you are coming to Stockholm on the Silja Line from Finland. There is a playroom and even "lekvärdar" which is swedish for "play hosts". When enough children are visiting the hotel staff sometimes surprise them with fun and playful activities. The atmosphere is relaxed and prices affordable. The hotel's restaurants have a unique view of the water.

Scandic Södra Kajen is situated on the waterfront at Värtahamnen port. It offers views of Stockholm’s harbor inlet, is close to the city center as well as multiple green areas including the

Royal Djurgården. The Museum of Technology and Swedish History Museum are within walking distance of the hotel.

Rooms range from standard doubles to luxurious master suites. All are equipped with free Wi-Fi, a desk, TV, complimentary toiletries, safety box, hairdryer and iron. The cabin family room is windowless and all family rooms feature bunk beds to sleep up to four people. Suites are more spacious with tea and coffee facilities and separate seating areas. A breakfast buffet is included in all room rates.

Scandic Södra Kajen Hotel has a wellness area featuring a relaxation pool, foot bath and sauna. Guests can access these at a discounted rate. The gym is free to access and the hotel also organises bicycle rental.

The onsite restaurant serves dinner with the menu offering international food, local seafood and plant-based options. Skybar is located at the top of the hotel with views of the surrounding waterways.

The hotel is family-friendly, with a playroom, plus crayons and coloring materials available at reception year-round. Children under 12 stay free and during summer, there is a kids’ activity schedule including quizzes, outdoor play and movies.
