Urbana Sathorn Hotel is in an ideal location on Sathorn Road in an area known as a business hub and housing many entertainment venues. Many public buses stop near the hotel and connect to other areas within the city. Sala Daeng Skytrain station is a 9-minute walk away and Silom BTS, at the corner of Lumphini Park is 11 minutes away.
The hotel offers air-conditioned suites with private balconies, fully equipped kitchenettes, and separate living and dining areas. The rooms are generally pretty spacious and comfortable, albeit not super new and not renovated recently. Rooms facing the main road are noisy and are not suitable for light sleepers. Views from most rooms are cool, showing the modern face of Bangkok and its skyrises.
A 25-meter rooftop swimming pool is one of the hotel's highlights. The panoramic views from there are unmatched. The water in the pool is quite cold, so swimming is only pleasant during midday when the sun is strong. The other wellness amenities are the large, well-equipped fitness center, and the small spa.
The on-site restaurant, Amontre, serves a diverse selection of Western and Asian dishes both indoors and in an open-air setting. Service doesn't stand up to scrutiny though, but there is a wide choice of other restaurants around the hotel. The Patpong Night Market is also close by. Breakfast at the hotel is rather basic and without many options but at least it's different every day.
Urbana Sathorn Hotel is a lovely hotel, especially for couples and families. Although some minor details can be improved, in general it's a solid value for money and makes for a pleasant stay.
