Conference hotel with a relaxing location, just outside of the city center. A simple, campus-like accommodation with bright, modern rooms. It has large meeting rooms and excellent meeting facilities. Close to the train station and the Expo exhibition center. The hotel has a restaurant, modern fitness facility and pool.

CEU Konferencia Központ is located in Budapest's 10th district, around 19 km from the airport and with easy access to the city center which is a 20-minute drive away. The property doubles as a student dormitory and the vibe is to match.
The rooms are simple and small but clean. There are also 10 apartments with more space. Each room has a private bathroom. The rooms have everything necessary for a short comfortable stay.
The on-site restaurant is very limited and frankly overpriced. It looks and feels like a student cafeteria. Again, the property houses many students for month-long stays, so everything is to match. There is also a communal kitchen and a hall floor. You may see pictures of a bar in some listings but in reality, it doesn't exist. Thankfully, there are better dining options in the vicinity of the hotel.
For recreation and sports, the center offers a swimming pool, sauna, fitness room, and outdoor sports courts for basketball, football, and tennis.
The hotel is often marketed as a conference center and this is for a reason - it's very well-equipped to host events of up to 350 participants. You can arrange catering services and modern technical equipment.
The CEU Konferencia Központ is suitable if you prioritize practicality over luxury. It is basic, simple, and affordable. The location isn't the greatest but it has good transport links. When it comes to value for money, it's awesome!

This is a pretty simple hotel but it had what I needed for a short stay. The room was quiet even if it was close to a road and the staff at the hotel were very welcoming. Public transportation was good and all in all it gives you good value for your money.
