Fresh and modern hostel just a few minutes from Tivoli Gardens and Copenhagen Central Station.
Steel House Copenhagen is set in the building of the former Metalworker’s Union headquarters, hence the adequate name. Today, it's a modern hostel in Vesterbro, right by the Sankt Jørgens Sø lakes and just a 5-minute walk from Tivoli Gardens and Copenhagen Central Station. Suffice it to say, you can reach most landmarks within the city on foot or 2 wheels, and for the rest, the metro stops nearby. The airport is a 25-minute ride away. The hostel also offers bicycle rentals.
The hostel is designed in a unique industrial-chic style, roughly inspired by New York's urbanity. The facade is easily recognizable for its corten steel. The hostel is rather large, with 253 rooms in total. Options include dormitories and private rooms, all equipped with private bathrooms. The dorms come with lockers and power sockets next to each bed. The dorm beds are capsule-style though without much room between each other. Private rooms have air conditioning and blackout curtains. Albeit quite small, they are comfortable.
At the hostel, all guests can use the indoor swimming pool, TV/cinema room, board games, a well-equipped fitness center, and a shared kitchen. There is also a bar and a cafe for drinks and socializing.
Steel House Copenhagen is a great budget travel option for stays in central Copenhagen, especially if you enjoy a cool urban aesthetic and shared living while having access to plenty of amenities.
