Our summary of Centre Esplai Albergue

Centre Esplai Albergue is located very near the El Prat airport and also close to a metro stop for quick access to Barcelona. It follows an ecological concept with energy efficiency in mind for a lower impact on the environment. You will notice many measures taken to reduce waste, water, and energy consumption.

It functions as both a hotel and a hostel and you can choose between a private and shared bathroom. Both options are comfortable and modern. All rooms are large, clean, and airy.

In private rooms, you can choose between double or twin beds whereas the shared room has bunk beds. Don't worry though - they are sturdy, stable, and don't make noise while moving. All the beds are comfortable and the duvet covers are very soft.

You can enjoy a buffet breakfast in the Centre Esplai's restaurant, which remains open for lunch and dinner. A pleasant surprise is that the staff can pack your breakfast to go if you leave very early before breakfast officially starts. This is awesome for early flights or if you want to hit the sights in Barcelona before the crowds.

Centre Esplai Albergue's strongest side is the many amenities on offer at the premises. There is a swimming pool (including a heated one!), a solarium, a computer room, a games room, bicycle rentals, a token-operated laundry room, and luggage storage. For some of those, you may have to pay extra though, as they are not included in the price of the room.
