In downtown Manhattan, this Hilton hotel offers comfortable rooms and is known for its attentive staff.
The Hilton Garden Inn NYC Financial Center/Manhattan Downtown is a modern hotel situated in Lower Manhattan, a block away from The Battery. The hotel is within walking distance of Wall Street and its Charging Bull, the South Street Seaport, and the Elevated Acre. The nearest subway stations are Whitehall St. and the South Ferry subway stations, both no more than 5 minutes of walking away.
The guest rooms are contemporary in design and equipped with a mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, laptop-sized safes, and work desks. The rooms are pretty small even for New York but are functional and suitable for short stays. International guests will appreciate the alarm clock with 2 USB sockets.
There is an on-site restaurant called Garden Grille & Bar that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast is simple with not too many options and usually not part of the room rate anyway - generally not recommended. For other meals, the restaurant is nice and has an affordable menu. For added convenience, the Pavilion Pantry is a 24-hour store offering snacks and other essentials.
There is a nicely equipped gym in the basement. It's small but totally fair, with chilled water bottles for users. Right beside is the laundry room, open for guests.
It's not hard to imagine that the Hilton Garden Inn is many's favorite hotel in New York. The updated rooms, albeit small, are cozy and have everything you need. The service is good and the additional amenities are maintained well. Yes, dining lags behind, but there are many options for food around the hotel. All in all, a solid midrange choice.
