Popular hotel with modern, spacious rooms and suites, and very good service. Excellent location near Central Park and the Broadway theater district. The rooms have great views and are equipped with a kitchenette, which is usually appreciated by couples who want to prepare their own meals in the room at times.
The Manhattan Club is very centrally located in Midtown Manhattan, just 4 minutes from Central Park's south entrance. It is also within walking distance of Times Square (11 minutes), and the Museum of Modern Art (9 minutes). The subway station on 7th Avenue is 3 minutes on foot away.
The hotel offers spacious suites with very well-equipped kitchenettes with small refrigerators, sinks, dishwashers, dishes, and glasses so you can cook almost as if at home. Note that there is no stove/oven but a microwave with a grill function. The rooms also feature marble bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, coffee makers, work desks, and irons with boards. They are generally bigger than average and comfortable but show signs of aging in several places, notably the furniture and the carpets.
The lifts are slow and if you have a room on higher floors, you may have to consistently wait longer than expected.
There is a private Club Lounge and Terraces venue for refined luxury experiences; however, there is no public on-site restaurant - not a massive deal given the number of options around.
The hotel offers breakfast which falls below most guests' expectations. It's not included in the standard room rate and frankly, not worth adding.
The fitness center, on the other hand, is free to use and well-equipped.
While the Manhattan Club hotel isn’t fancy or brand new, it’s fantastic anyhow. The big self-sufficient studios and the central location make it a great hotel for families and couples alike.
