Hotel located in a 15th-century building by the Grand Canal. With Venetian rooms and great restaurants nearby.
Pesaro Palace is located right next to the Ca' d'Oro Palace, along Venice's Grand Canal. The hotel is very near the Ca' d'Oro Vaporetto (water bus) stop, so you can easily get to any point of interest in Venice via water. The hotel has a private boat dock if you arrive by boat taxi. Ponte Rialto is an 8-minute walk away and Piazza San Marco - less than 20 minutes on foot.
The rooms are classically decorated with a breath of old but well-maintained Venetian charm. Each room comes with a minibar, carpeted floors, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Some have nice views towards the Grand Canal - if you have the choice, try to book one of those, they are worth it. Rooms are clean, neat, and have everything you need for a short stay. The bad news? There is no kettle in the room, the TV doesn't work or is ancient and broken and the air conditioning is controlled only by reception. The bathrooms can benefit from some updates too.
A continental breakfast is served in the elegant dining area every morning. It features lots of choices and a decent quality of food. There is no on-site restaurant but the location is close to many other options nearby.
Pesaro Palace is a bit of a hit-or-miss. You may have a wonderful trouble-free stay at a pleasant historic hotel with a good view and an awesome location, but you can also be unlucky and have a 2-star experience from a 4-star hotel. In general, the old Venetian charm and welcoming hospitality make up for most shortcomings.
