Nolinski Venezia, part of the Evok Collection, is a luxurious 5-star hotel, housed in the former Stock Exchange building. Its face is preserved, including the imposing mythical creatures on it. The interior is a mix of Art Nouveau, Stile Liberty, and Modernism in what can be described as a contemporary work of art in the hospitality industry. The hotel is located in the center of Venice, just 5 minutes on foot from Piazza San Marco.
The hotel offers 43 uniquely designed rooms. Each room has a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free toiletries, a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, and a hairdryer. Some rooms also offer a city view, although it's not as spectacular as hotels near the Grand Canal, for example. The rooms are generally small, expected from a historic Venetian building in the heart of the city, but they are also perfectly organized, and the bathrooms are stunning. A small drawback is the lack of coffee-making facilities in the room.
In the hotel, you can use the Ottoman-inspired spa. There is a small pool which isn't suitable for exercise swimming and is a bit too cold for some. Access is through the bar area which feels awkward. On the flip side, the jacuzzi on the top floor overlooking Venice is a nice touch and worth the visit.
Il Caffè is where chef Philip Chronopoulos presents a menu of Mediterranean and French cuisines mix - refined dishes and quality products are guaranteed.
The breakfast is of exceptional quality and one of the grandest you'll experience with the crisp white tablecloths, silverware, and impeccable service.
