Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok is situated along the Chao Phraya River, equidistant from Asiatique The Riverfront and Central Bangrak, both a 15-minute walk away. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the hotel's private pier and go by ferry. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle boat service to and from Saphan Taksin BTS Skytrain Station from where you can reach pretty much any other destination within the city. If you happen to be in Bangkok for New Year, the Chatrium's location is unbeatable for watching the famous fireworks display.
Each of the hotel's rooms has a private balcony with a river or cityscape view. The floor-to-ceiling windows are a way to ensure the rooms are bright, airy, and welcoming. All rooms also have LCD TVs with HDMI and a fully stocked complimentary minibar. The private bathrooms include a shower, free eco-friendly toiletries, slippers, and comfortable bathrobes. There are also well-equipped kitchenettes and dining areas where you can prepare your own meals if you'd like.
Nonetheless, there are six restaurants and bars in total on-site. From the international buffets at River Barge, the classic Cantonese dishes at Silver Waves, the full seafood buffets, and the Mediterranean feasts, it's safe to say there will be something for your taste too.
The infinity pool is one of a kind in Bangkok - located on the 6th floor, it's large enough to swim lengths and offers panoramic river views. The pool is understandably cold but unfortunately so is the hotel’s jacuzzi - a big missed opportunity to make it a wonderful amenity too.
The fitness center is excellent, well-maintained, and well-equipped.
Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok is fabulous and deserves praise for its self-sufficient rooms, beautiful interior, and wonderful amenities. Well worth the high price tag of a top-luxury hotel.
