The Continent Hotel Sukhumvit is positioned at the junction of Ratchadaphisek Road and Sukhumvit Road. Both the Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT stations are within walking distance allowing you to reach other areas of the city easily. Soi Cowboy, a short colorful street with go-go bars is just behind the hotel. Benchakitti Park is a 9-minute walk away while the malls in the Siam area are within a 10-minute taxi ride.
The hotel’s rooms are stylish and contemporary. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow a lot of light and offer good views of the skyrises in this modern part of Bangkok, however, they cannot be opened to let fresh air inside. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, smart TVs, large comfortable beds, and modern bathrooms. Lower-tier rooms are relatively small, but space increases for higher classrooms. The upgraded suites also feature a separate seating area making them a good choice for longer stays. If noise is a concern, ask for a room on a higher floor and away from the busy Sukhumvit Road.
The hotel has 2 on-site restaurants. The modern Thai cuisine Bangkok Heightz is on the rooftop (39th floor) and offers a great romantic ambiance for dinner. The Medinii is just a bit below on the 35th floor and serves a buffet lunch and Italian a-la-carte favorites like pasta and desserts for dinner. Both are quite pricey - expected given the views, elegant atmosphere, and impeccable service.
Breakfast is excellent - a rich mix of Western and Asian food for any type of taste. It gets crowded after 9 AM, so for a more peaceful experience, go early!
The rooftop is also home to an infinity pool. It’s compact but provides a phenomenal city view. The on-site gym is relatively small but adequate for most workout routines.
The Continent Hotel Sukhumvit combines convenience, style, and great dining with a few minor trade-offs. It’s best suited for couples and solo travelers who prefer a good location in the new areas of Bangkok and want to experience the typical and memorable rooftop infinity pools that Bangkok is famous for.
