This popular hotel is located on a quiet side street and has a friendly and helpful staff.
The Victory Residences Bangkok is located in the Phayathai district, one of the more modern areas of Bangkok. It's just a 2-minute walk from the Victory Monument BTS Skytrain Station, and about 10 minutes on foot away from Phaya Thai station on the Red Line.
The hotel offers air-conditioned private studios and suites, each equipped with minibars, in-room safes, satellite TVs, microwaves, fridges, dining tables, and balconies. The rooms are a bit old and not up to date but fairly clean and comfortable enough.
There is a swimming pool with a jacuzzi on the rooftop which receives good reviews for being lovely and clean.
The fitness center is reasonably good and has most of the expected equipment. There is also a sauna, although it's a bit old and you have to turn it on and wait before using it. Once running though, it makes for a relaxing session.
The breakfast service is frankly a disappointment. The food quality is substandard, the presentation lacks care, and there isn't much choice for food anyway. There is no full-service restaurant at the hotel but you can find many street vendors and fancy restaurants alike within a short walk.
Overall, Victory Residences Bangkok is a mixed bag. On one side, the location is great and you will be well-connected to different areas of the city by public transport. The wifi is strong too. On the other hand, the rooms and the common areas are old and in some places even dilapidated and need renovating or at least a refresh. Cleanliness and maintenance also fall below expectations. If you're sensitive about deep cleaning, a modern feel, and rooms being in immaculate condition, you may want to look for a different hotel.
