High-class luxury hotel located on the island of Giudecca. Stay in rooms with beautiful furnishings.
The Hilton Molino Stucky Venice is housed in an impressive neo-Gothic building from the 19th century, originally built to serve as a flour mill and pasta factory. The hotel opened in 2007 after the building underwent significant transformations within. It is located on Giudecca Island, across the canal from Venice's popular tourist spots. The hotel is accessible in just a few minutes by a private shuttle boat from Piazza San Marco. There is a regular scheduled shuttle service to and from the main island.
You can choose between 379 rooms and suites. Each is elegant and exquisitely decorated. The rooms are air-conditioned and have a flat-screen TV, a marble bathroom, and a coffee maker. Some suites have impressive views of the canal.
There is a wonderful rooftop swimming pool with views of Venice. In addition, the city's largest wellness center is indeed at Hilton Molino, but unfortunately, all those facilities come at an extra cost even for guests. Pool access is limited to two hours per day, which is understandable given the size of the pool compared to the number of guests. There is a gym near the spa area too.
There are multiple restaurants and bars on-site, most notably the Skyline Rooftop Bar which offers spectacular views. The food there receives mixed reviews though.
Hilton Molino Stucky Venice is a fine example of an urban transformation - from a center of industry to a marvelous hotel on the banks of Venice's waterways. Should you want a modern luxury hotel with history and buzz, then this is a good choice.
