The JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is a fine 5-star resort situated on the private Isola delle Rose island, part of the Venetian Lagoon. The resort is brand new since it first opened in 2015. The 20-minute complimentary shuttle ride to/from St. Mark's Square makes going to the areas of interest in Venice a breeze. A water taxi from/to the airport is a convenient way to travel between the two but comes at a considerable cost.
Take note that this resort is seasonal and only open during Venice's high tourist season.
The resort features 266 rooms and suites, each elegant and luxurious but contemporary and comfortable too. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay in line with the hotel's 5-star status. Some rooms have a lovely terrace with wonderful views.
The private island houses multiple restaurants with a diverse choice of food and dining experiences. Most notable is perhaps the Sagra Rooftop Restaurant for its panoramic views of the lagoon and outstanding cuisine.
The breakfast is one of a kind, delicious and plentiful.
The resort's spa is a literal sanctuary - private, quiet, and marvelous. The rooftop pool is exceptional and the 2 others only increase the available options and spread guests evenly. A range of revitalizing treatments is offered at the spa center. The gardens around the resort are perfect for late afternoon or early morning strolls.
The JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is a wonderful place to have an exclusive retreat. It's a fabulous mix of serene island surroundings but still close enough to famous places in Venice. Most stays are nothing short of magical.
