Millennium Hilton is found on Manhattan's East Side and has rooms with great views of New York.
Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza is located at One United Nations Plaza in Midtown East, right across the road from the United Nations Headquarters. Grand Central Terminal and the Chrysler Building are within walking distance whereas the nearby subway gives you access to anywhere within New York.
The hotel offers contemporary rooms and suites, many with views of the East River or the Manhattan skyline. All rooms have 42-inch flat-screen TVs, work desks, and in-room safes. The rooms are spacious for Manhattan but feel a bit dated and in need of a lift-up. Overall though both the rooms and the bathroom are nice the beds are great.
The lounge fee surcharge may catch some travelers off guard as it's not communicated in the best way and in all honesty, feels a bit like a rip-off - an obligatory charge to spend on food and drinks at the hotel which does not carry over to the next day if not spent. This forces you to eat at the on-site restaurant or the grab-and-go café or forfeit the daily charge.
There is a well-laid-out fitness center with good equipment. Additionally, the tennis court on the 39th floor offers the unique experience of sport with a view!
For business travelers, there are seven meeting rooms of various sizes for up to 300 guests.
Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza is a bit old-school but tried to keep in touch with the current times. The location is nice and the amenities are convenient but the outdated decor and surprising charges may spoil the experience.
Check-in is available from 16:00 and check-out is required by 11:00.
